Saeed Ajmal is a
retired Pakistani cricketer. He is considered one of the best spin bowlers in
Pakistan's history, known for his off-spin and doosra deliveries. He began his
international cricket career in 2008 and retired in 2017. Ajmal represented
Pakistan in 35 Tests, 113 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 64 Twenty20
International (T20Is) matches.
In Tests, Ajmal took
178 wickets at an average of 28.10, with a best bowling of 7/55. He took 5
wickets in an innings on 8 occasions and 10 wickets in a match once.
In ODIs, Ajmal took
184 wickets at an average of 24.44, with a best bowling of 4/19. He took 5
wickets in an innings on 3 occasions.
In T20Is, Ajmal took
85 wickets at an average of 19.22, with a best bowling of 4/11.
Ajmal was known for
his variety of deliveries and his ability to outsmart the batsmen. He was also
known for his accuracy and consistency, which made him a valuable bowler for
Pakistan in all formats of the game. He was also appointed as the captain of

Saeed Ajmal is a

Pakistan. He is a right-arm off-spinner and right-handed batsman. He began his
domestic cricket career in 1995 and played for various teams in Pakistan. He
began his international cricket career in 2008, and represented Pakistan in all
three formats of the game; Tests, ODIs, and T20Is.
In his international
career, Ajmal was considered one of the best spin bowlers in the world. He was known
for his off-spin and doosra deliveries. He was also known for his accuracy and
consistency, which made him a valuable bowler for Pakistan in all formats of
the game. He was also appointed as the captain of Pakistan in T20Is and played
1 match as skipper.
In 2011 and 2014, he
was ranked as the best bowler in ODI and T20Is by the ICC. In 2014, he was
banned from bowling due to an illegal action and had to remodel his action.
After remodelling his action, he returned to cricket but was not able to reach the
same level of performance he had before the ban. He retired from all forms of
cricket in 2017.

ranked the number one ODI bowler in the world by the ICC. He held that position
for a total of 18 months and his performances in the 2011 World Cup and the
series against England and Sri Lanka were instrumental in him achieving the top
spot.
In 2014, he was also
ranked as the number one T20I bowler in the world by the ICC. He held that
position for a total of 9 months.
In Test Cricket,
Ajmal was also considered one of the best spinners of his time, and was ranked
among the top 10 bowlers in the world for several years.
However, in 2014,
Ajmal was banned from bowling due to an illegal action, and as a result, he
fell out of the top rankings. Despite returning to cricket after remodelling
his action, he was not able to reach the same level of performance he had
before the ban, and his ranking dropped significantly.
SAEED AJMAL IN PSL:
Saeed Ajmal played in
Pakistan Super League (PSL) for various teams over the years. He was a part of
the inaugural edition of the PSL in 2016, where he represented the Islamabad
United team. He played for the team for two seasons in 2016 and 2017. He took a
total of 12 wickets in 14 matches across two seasons.
In 2018, he was
picked up by the Multan Sultans team and played for them in the 2018 and 2019
seasons. He took a total of 8 wickets in 11 matches across two seasons.
In 2020, he was
picked up by the Lahore Qalandars team and played for them in the 2020 season.
He took a total of 2 wickets in 2 matches in the 2020 season.
Ajmal's performances
in the PSL were not as impressive as his international career, but he remained
a valuable player for the teams he played for, due to his experience and
ability to mentor young players.
